Thanh Linh Vietnamese Restaurant
This week I visited Thanh Linh, located on West Main Street across the street from Bradley’s campus. They are open Monday through Saturday from 11am – 8:30pm and closed on Sunday. This restaurant is a local Vietnamese restaurant that offers a verity of classic Vietnamese meals and buffet. They offer the lunch buffet from 11am-2pm Monday through Friday and a dinner buffet Friday and Saturday. I went with some friends for dinner this week so I was unable to try the buffet, but they said it is one of their most popular meal options. After going through their menu a few times I chose the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. For those of you that have not eaten here before the plates of food are enough to feed two people! (I did not know this before ordering.) A plate overflowing with Chicken was placed down in front of me, and another plate with a mountain of Chicken Fried Rice placed next to it. The chicken was fried perfectly to a crisp and when mixed with their sweet and sour sauce offered the perfect amount sweetness to the chicken. The Chicken Fried Rice was just as delicious and had a lot chicken in it making it even better. Thankfully it was so good because I took home the left overs, which was enough for lunch the next day. Overall I would give this 5 Thanh Linh’s out of 5!

I have only heard good things about this place! I have never been but I want to go during the lunch buffet. I heard it's super cheap too, especially for the amount of food you get! I'll have to try it before I leave.
ReplyDeleteI've only been there a few times. I'm originally from Peoria, and I've only ever been there while I've been a student at Bradley. Pretty much outside of the Bradley community, not a lot of people in town have even been to Than Linh, which surprises me because I think it's super good!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Thanh Linh before, but I've always wanted to try it and it's so close to campus! I've always heard really good things about it, plus the picture you posted look awesome. Who doesn't love big portions!? more to take home!
ReplyDeleteThanh Linh's spicy lemongrass chicken is amazing. My RA freshman year used to talk about it all the time. I tried it and I can't agree more. Not to mention, I think their crab rangun is also really spectacular.
ReplyDeleteI think their spring rolls are the best in town. The perfect balance of ingredients instead of all cabbage.
